Giger by Davesrightmind Giger by Davesrightmind
Been really busy as of late and have not had time to paint much, but, here is my humble homage to one of the greatest artists who ever lived, and I pretty much don't give a shit for those who claim that to love and be inspired by Giger is trendy or some sort of fad. That dude literally changed my life. So, Mr. Giger, I tip my glass to you, and thank you for all you've done for us little dreamers. Or should I say nightmarers.

Sure, I'll put my love for Giger up here.

His art was always jaw-dropping, his technique revolutionary. But it wasn't his art that made me love him.

It was his creature.

The Alien franchise is one of the best science fiction inspirations in history. The alien is still the most terrifying monster in creation, and all the slasher/teen murder movie/suspense horror movies can kiss my ass for trying to do it better.

Requiescat in pace, Mr. Giger.

The Alien wins. Period.

Dave, the color scheme is damn awesome.  Epic tongue, and the oddness of the creature is spot on Giger, well done friend.

This is an excellent hommage to one of the great grand-daddies of SF, Horror, and the Surreal.  What a sad surprise to hear of his passing.
