If it was an animal that made that noise, I'm pretty sure that it would've done it a lot more than once.  Name one animal that makes a given noise only once in its life.  even then, we'd have heard the noise multiple times from the other members of it's species.  (unless of course it's a solitary alien accidentally left here.)

my far off explanation would be that it was some sort of gigantic bottom-feeding species that made one last resonating call upon its death. The reason we only heard it once is because they live for a couple hundred years and by the time the hydrophones were created in 1961 one of these rare beasts didn't die again until 1997. If it was ice-quakes we would expect to hear it more than once as well considering ice is still breaking apart rapidly in Antarctica today.

I mean we all did it in some way shape or form as kids, received a piece of the puzzle any tried to fill in the blanks. I myself tried to draw an up close picture of bigfoot based on the classic out of focus photo

Did you know the bloop noise has actually been solved? It was ice caps. I found it kinda interesting, if not a bit sad because it wasn't a sea creature.

Even if it's an iceberg does it really matter I mean 95 percent of the ocean is undiscovered

When it concerns the origins of the "Bloop", yes it does matter. But to the ocean as a whole, not really.

Sadly people who debunked it to an iceberg claimed they found sounds of iceberg similar to the bloop then again it's not fully confirmed I mean it's not like they went to the exact location to where the bloop was made I really hope it's a sea creature it would be amazing

Is it even possible for something to grow that size on this planet?
The Blue whale is currently (to the best of my knowledge) the biggest known living "thing" on this planet. A few Dinosaurs have been bigger but not too many.
THIS THING??
Good Lord. Makes me wonder if this planet has a built in size limit for anything living.

I think it might be the Leviatan of the Atlantis movie (at least one of them in the prologue there was like three or four), Cthulhu because the sound was detected very near of the coordinates where is the city where he is sleeping, might be Godzilla, might be many things or nothing

I'm skeptical about a creature of such size. I personally believe the theory that it was an icequake. You never know, though.

also this looks cool as hell, so yeah.

yo to imagine the size, scientists say that for an organic creature to make this sound it should be at least 20-times the size of a blue whale that's 600 meters

The more I stare at this the more I take in, absolutely amazing artwork!

The mouth details, the fins, the tiny pilot whales, the shading, great touches to the piece that really add scope, depth and scale.
