They also sport a type of 'jester's shoe' of a foot; electrical energy (that's what I'm calling it from now on) builds up in the forward calf muscles as the hot head runs, and when this reaches a critical level, the electricity is discharged onto the 'tips' of the jester's shoe where it can simply be 'flicked' by the toes onto encroaching predators, (or human soldiers O_o) zapping their legs and rendering them immobile.

Kinda having fun doing these little 'describe how the creature works by looking at it' things. Mind if I do a few more? You're free to use them (or put them into your own words) in the description if you feel they give the creature a bit more background.
The upward-turned toes, the face texture and the fact that I'm getting "that feeling".... you know... that feeling that a small animal is about to be turned inside-out. All of these things help make this thing freaking cool.
